Get Fit While You Sit - Chair Yoga - This a public class that I teach outside the studio.  
Location:  Jacob's Hall at the First Congregational Church, 135 Center Road, Dudley, MA  01571

Class runs weekly, every Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 am.
  
Class Fee:  $5.00 per person/per class (Cancer Patients are always FREE).  I donate 20% of your class fee to the church.
 
How Do I Sign Up?  Just show up and pay when you arrive.   No need to sign up ahead of time as there is plenty of space available.
 
If it is your first class, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete a health form.
 
Who can come to class?  Seniors, men & women and/or any adult who is looking for a gentle yoga class to build range of motion and flexibility while sitting in a chair.  Just received surgery and need physical movements on the lighter side?  This is also a great class.  Come have fun, stretch, flex and flow while being around your friends in a relaxing environment.
 
What is required for this class?  Sneakers and a big smile.  Chairs will be provided.  *In your best interest, consult your health care provider before taking this or any exercise program.
 
All Classes at De-Stress with Yoga include:
Modifications and options to avoid injury.  Every class ends with relaxation techniques, meditations, and/or guided imagery.   Each student enjoys Savasana (final relaxation) with a bolster, eye pillows, blankets and/or neck rolls for added comfort and luxury - with no extra cost.  We love to be extremely comfortable.  Aroma therapy lotions - smells so good in final relaxation.  Go home feeling good.
 
Chilled bottled water is available if you forget to bring one ($1.00). 
The temperature of the yoga room ranges from 68 - 74 degrees.

Level 1 Yoga (This a public class that I teach outside my studio).   Find me at State of Grace Yoga & Wellness Center.(please click on the link for their full class schedule and fees)

Yoga Great for beginners and continuing students to learn a variety of yoga postures, breathing techniques and to introduce some yoga philosophy. Includes clear instruction and assistance to help create a foundation for a safe healthy practice.
 
Moderate Flow Yoga:
Take your yoga practice to the next level.  In this dynamic class the flowing sequences are longer to help build your stamina, strength and flexibility.  This class includes a Classic Sun Salutation.  Explore more advanced poses to expand your practice, learn how to bind in postures safely, while flowing with the breath and build your strength, stamina and flexibility to a new level.  Discover how to sculpt your body, improve flexibility, increase coordination and muscle tone while making your spirit happy.  This class is recommend for students with some yoga background; however, modifications are taught so seasoned practitioners and newer students alike can enjoy learning the importance of staying in the moment and exploring yoga from the inside out.
Level:  Intermediates, continuing students
 
Moodlifting YogaDance:  This "non-traditional" yoga class is great for new students and seasoned students who love to flow and have fun.  Say "good-bye" to the blahs.  Take your yoga practice "out of the box" by having upbeat music and songs that will get your heart beating with pure fun. This class combines yoga and dance (free flow, trance dance, bhangra moves, HoopDance, martial art kicks, and more).  Don't worry, Mimi will show you these easy movements.   It's not about how good you dance, it's about how much fun you can have in your "true self".  Come move, groove and laugh while stretching and flowing.  Burn fat & calories, increase range of motion, lose weight and slim down.  Be prepared to get silly, sweaty and have fun!   Discover how much fun Moodlifting YogaDance can be and how your mood can change from a downward/stressful spiral to an Upward Spiral.  Leave the class feeling inspired!

Slow Flow Yoga with a classic Sun Salutation:  
This class is excellent for new students or for those who enjoy the slower and shorter vinyasa flows, allowing time to surrender and relax between sequences.  This class includes a Classic Sun Salutation.  Discover and explore the foundational balance, standing, seated and core strengthening postures.  This class focuses on sequencing poses that flow with the breath, alignment, and attention to subtle details. Combinations of the shoulders, back, chest, hips and hamstrings will be covered in each class to promote greater flexibility and strength, improving posture and relieving stress.  This class uses props such as straps, blocks, sandbags and blankets to help achieve the best posture possible, with maximum benefit, while minimizing the risk of injury.  Reconnect with your body and get ready to explore the benefits.

Sunrise Yoga:

Variety Yoga:
This "non-traditional" yoga class is great for new students and for those who would like to take your yoga practice "out of the box" while we add fun with props.  The music varies - it could be upbeat and energizing or relaxing traditional yoga music.  Combinations of the shoulders, back, chest, hips, hamstrings and core strengtheners will be covered in each class to promote greater flexibility and strength, improving posture and relieving stress.  Props are always optional - as every pose can be done with or without the prop. 
Variety Classes are as follows:
1st Tuesday of the Month = Slow Flow
2nd Tuesday of the Month = Yoga Strength Bars (non-weighted and weighted)
3rd Tuesday of the Month = Flex & Flow
4th Tuesday of the Month = Have a "Ball Yoga" (yoga core balls, sometimes weighted sand balls)
5th Tuesday of the Month = Body Band Yoga

Yogilates:
Take your yoga practice to the next level.  In this dynamic class the flowing sequences are longer to help build your stamina, strength and flexibility.  This class includes a Classic Sun Salutation.  Explore more advanced poses to expand your practice, learn how to bind in postures safely, while flowing with the breath and build your strength, stamina and flexibility to a new level.  Discover how to sculpt your body, improve flexibility, increase coordination and muscle tone while making your spirit happy.  This class is recommend for students with some yoga background; however, modifications are taught so seasoned practitioners and newer students alike can enjoy learning the importance of staying in the moment and exploring yoga from the inside out.  45 minutes of the class is dedicated to Yoga.  15 minutes is dedicated to practicing core strengtheners Pilates exercises by using Foam Rollers (optional), which is a physical therapy tool that helps you gain more strength and flexibility.  Before savasana, find renewal in your back as we practice some wonderful back massages with these wonderful foam rollers.
